Binyang Firecracker Dragon Festival

On the 11th day of the first lunar month every year, the people throw firecrackers at the dancing dragon in a grand carnival, to ward off disasters and pray for blessings. It is popular in Binyang County, Guangxi.


The folk song of Liu Sanjie

Liu Sanjie is a beautiful woman according to Guangxi folklore. She is hailed as a “song immortal” for her skills at composing and singing folk songs. Artistic works including songs and dances, drama, and films with the theme of Liu Sanjie are widely popular, forming a distinctive “Liu Sanjie culture”. 


Grand song of the Dong ethnic group

The grand song of the Dong ethnic group is a polyphonic folk song that is a cappella with no conductor. It was inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2009.
