Chinese Medicine Experience Center of BUCM
Chinese Medicine Experience Center of BUCM (Beijing University of Chinese Medicine), located in BUCM, has four floors in total, covering l,680 square meters. l/F is "Xing Lin Yuan" which presents traditional Chinese medicine culture through electronic interactive methods and manual medicine production; 2/F is "Ji Sheng Tang ", where visitors can learn about the common governance of traditional Chinese medicine, namely, how to improve body condition through diet and herbs; 3/F is "Guo Zhen Guan" for visitors to experience traditional external treatment such as Ear Acupuncture, Massage, Cupping, Scraping, Moxibustion and Acupuncture; 4/F is "Wu Wei Ju ", in which visitors can learn about and study how to make Chinese medicine meals and taste Chinese medicine meals. Therefore, visitors are able to have an up-close and personal experience in Chinese medicine through observation, internal treatment, external treatment and tasting, The Center has become a venue for guests to learn about Chinese medicine knowledge and culture and experience the charm of Chinese medicine.
Royal Medicine Hall of the Palace Museum
The Royal Medicine Hall, situated at the Palace of Eternal Harmony, one of six eastern palaces in the Palace Museum, was officially opened to the public on February 10, 2021. This is the first time for the royal medicine culture and literature treasures of the Palace Museum to be displayed to the public, with 83 pieces of cultural relics and 7 pieces of imitations. Through these exhibits, visitors could learn more on the medical history of the Qing dynasty. The east and west side halls of the front yard display the time-honored brands of Chinese medicine, the collections of national intangible cultural heritage protection units on Chinese medicine, while the east and west side halls of the back yard exhibit the precious and genuine Chinese medicinal materials. In addition, committed to popularizing Chinese medicine culture, the Royal Medicine Hall organizes "playing a doctor" immersive experience study tour activity throughout the year to help visitors learn about the history of Chinese medicine. The activity is carried out into various versions: teenagers, adult and corporate customization, which can meet the needs of different groups in the society.
