Temple Dongjingyuan

Temple Dongjingyuan, in the northeast corner of the Forbidden City, won the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Award for Cultural Heritage Conservation. Shijingshan Culture Center

Beijing Shijingshan Culture Center was built in July 195l, as a public cultural venue for the mass cultural activities in Shijingshan. The Center, covering a construction area of 3,934 square meters, has multiple themed zones on seven floors, consisting of a cultural center, an intangible cultural heritage center, a museum, a bookstore, a screening hall, a theater, an exhibition area, a training room, an art gallery and a lecture hall. Beijing Tianqiao Performing Arts Center

Beijing Tiangiao Performing Arts Center is on the west side of the Southern Central Axis of Beijing. As a comprehensive theater group, the Center consists of four theaters. Among them, the big theater with l,600 seats is the first large professional music drama theater in Beijing. Besides, the medium-sized theater with l,000 seats, the small theater with 400 seats, and the multifunction theater with 300 seats can meet the needs of different performance programs such as music drama, modern drama, dance drama, family show, children's drama, concert, etc. Visitors can participate in various activities such as theme exhibitions, cultural salons, art popularization and so on. Teenagers can take part in art education and art training, such as dance, music and opera.

The National Center for the Performing Arts

The National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA) started construction in 2001. Situated on the west of Tian'anmen Square, it is rated as one of the "16 Best Views of Beijing". Designed by French architect Paul Andreu, the NCPA is one of the existing world-class performance centers in China. Covering an area of 118,900 square meters and a total construction area of 165,000 square meters, the NCPA is equipped with the Opera House, the Concert Hall, the Theatre, and supporting facilities, like artistic exhibition halls, restaurants, and music stores. The NCPA advocates the core value that "art changes life".
