National Museum of China
The National Museum of China (NMC) boasts a total land area of 70,000 square meters with the height of the building reaching, 42.5 meters. With 5 floors above ground and 2 below, it consists of 48 exhibition halls, occupying a construction area of 200,000 square meters. As the highest-level cultural and historical art palace nationwide, it is a comprehensive museum featuring collection, exhibition, research, archaeology, public education and cultural exchange. The NMC houses more than 1.4 million collection items,covering ancient and modern artifacts, rare and antiquarian books and artworks, With such an exceptional museum, visitors can participate in art, music, technology and archaeological projects in the experience zone, while teenagers can be absorbed in museum collection research, academic lectures, art salons and other interactive activities.
Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy
Founded on May 14, 1957, Art Museum of Beijing, Fine Art Academy is the earliest and biggest professional art academy in China. Featuring the display of works of Qi Baishi, a famous painter in modern China, it focuses on collection and research of modern Beijing Style paintings. It is a modern architectural art museum combined with display, exhibition, exchange and leisure. As a cultural facility free to the public, the Museum holds exhibitions of modem Chinese and foreign painters, academic seminars and international art exchange activities throughout the year. Within the Museum are also a coffee shop and an art bookshop, providing a high-quality cultural space for visitors in art exchange and exploration.It also accepts applications of foreign exhibitions.
Guardian Art Center
Neighboring the Forbidden City, Guardian Art Center was put into operation in October 2017. With its enviable location, spatial form, diversified functions, cultural landscape and industry experiences, it constitutes a high-quality platform for artwork exchange. The whole building, flexible and multi-functional, covers a space of 56,000 square meters, featuring art exhibition, auction, education, bookstore and hotel. The two functional halls on the ground floor are for exhibition, auction and banquet, while the first floor consists of professional exhibition halls without pillars, totaling a rich art center together with those on the second floor.
Luo Hong Art Museum
Officially opened in August 2016, Luo Hong Art Museum includes three parts: Luo Hong Photography Gallery, Black Swan Cake Art Gallery, and Oriental Garden Landscape Group. The exterior of the main building, was designed by an Australian designer, while the garden landscape and interior came from Korean and Japanese designers, which creates art spaces indifferent atmospheres. The Luo Hong Photography Gallery is divided into several areas indifferent themes, such as natural scenery, wildlife and the magical Lake Natron, to panoramically show the rare beauty of the earth, On the first floor lie a French restaurant, a tea room and a cafe for rest, meals and chatting, so that visitors can enjoy a pleasant time while strolling through the art.
Shijia Hutong Museum
As the first museum about the hutongs, Shijia Hutong Museum records the history and culture of Shijia Hutong and carries the memory of old Beijing.
The Museum consists of a multi-functional hall, and eight exhibition halls in which visitors can trace the development of Shijia Hutong, Beijing People's Art Theatre and modern education in China; besides, indulged in the nostalgic items, visitors can witness the life of famous people who had lived here. Organized neatly within are 130 courtyard-miniatures whose historical pattern, gray tiles and wooden doors/windows retain the charm of traditional quadrangle dwellings. The Museum also keeps over 70 kinds of sounds once existing in hutongs in the last century such as the sound of sharpening scissors, knives and traditional medicine bells, reflecting concentrated hutong culture and profound cultural and historical details. Visitors can explore the old Beijing and tranquil hutongs, while learning the "hawking skills", full of characteristics of old Beijing.
Peace Garden Museum
Established in 2013, the Peace Garden Museum, on the theme of "The Culture of World Peace" blends diverse cultures of different countries and reflects the exchanges and wishes for peace between China and foreign countries. The first floor mainly displays gifts from other countries, while rooms on the second and third floors serve as reception rooms and studies. On the lawn outside, there are 178 rare stone and bronze carvings representing wishes for peace from different countries, reflecting people's expectation for harmonious coexistence and peaceful communication. With its theme of world peace, the Museum has attracted numerous people devoted to charity causes and carried out many cultural and artistic salons, charity parties and memorial services, including the "the 60th Anniversary of the Visit of Che Guevara to China" in 2020 and "Beijing Shopping Season 2021 -Culinary Show of Chinese Fad" in 2021.
